Rot Land by Michael Mulvihill

Today, I’m releasing Rot Land, the book I never thought I’d write — and the one I’m proudest of.

It’s wild, grotesque, bleak, funny, surreal, and somehow… coherent.
A book about strange people in broken places, and the strange tenderness that still survives inside them.

I’ve lived with these characters for a long time — Mad Mary, Tim, Barra, Big Dan — and now they’re finally out in the world. Not perfect, not polished to death, but exactly the way they wanted to be.

Publishing this through Failure Class Press felt right. Some stories don’t belong to the mainstream. They belong to the outsiders. To the failures. To the ones who refuse to disappear.

If you read Rot Land, thank you.
If you leave a review, that helps more than you know.
And if the book stays with you — even in a strange way — then it’s done its job.

Here it is.
Rot Land.
A world of decay, humanity, and everything in between.

Rot Lands published by Failure Class Press December, 2025.
